In the fine tradition of my people Sidney is a nudge.
He is not content to just let you sit still, you know, after a long day. He needs to be right next to you, head on your knee, nudging…”pet me,” his big brown eyes say.
He runs full tilt at you so he can nudge more effectively. He has not yet learned how to put on the brakes.
He plays exceptionally well with Jack, both of them leaping to get bubbles -although sometimes Sidney and his big galumphing paws accidentally run into Jack…My son has become quite adept at ducking a flying Sidney, he gets down real close to the floor and Sidney flies over head. It’s like a well coordinated circus act.
Sidney recently met one of his people, a Treeing Walker , a lady coon-hound who had just moved to the big stinky from Portland Oregon. The baying could be heard down the street. This same tone can be heard when we’re doing people stuff, putting Jack to bed, reading, using the toilet.
Did I mention he is a nudge?
