Archie...No need to rent canoes. There are two kayaks at the house. And paddles, believe it or not.

Amongst our little circle of friends, the dads do the bathing.

In fact, so much so in our house, that I live in ever-loving fear of having to bathe my own child. When it's Mommy/Henry bath time? No one's having fun. It's all business.

When he was wee and lazy (ie, NOT MOVING ABOUT), it was no problem. But once that child learned to stand up, the party. was. over.

What is that contraption Jack's got? Can I buckle my 16-month-old into it?

Also, last week we had Henry to the beach in South Carolina. That boy leapt from his stroller and ran--not walked or approached with trepidation--to the water. Mommy had another sip of her drink and said "I'll take the pictures!" thereby relieving herself of any responsibility as Henry was swept to sea... *sigh*

Where do you get all these memories of WHAT I SAID??? Not sure I said all that, but it is true is that you were an early swimmer and loved the water. There are other stories about your swimming. Grandpa Herb and the stitches story. You and Peter almost going out to sea in Nantucket. Maybe I can dig up some more to tell Jack when we take him out in the canoe this summer. love and kisses
