Mom 1. Baby 0.
Arch keeps on bringing people over to distract me from the crying. Last night it was our neighbors. Tonight, it was Katherine & David. The distraction tonight? Welcome, but unecessary.
That’s right. The boy went down with out a fight. We could get used to all this quiet around here…
As much as it sucks to listen to the crying–it’s so worth it in the end. You’ll have good nights and bad nights. For us, the most important things was consistency.
Henry very quickly learned how to manipulate us. For instance: he knows if he pitches the binky out of the crib, we’ll come in and bink him back up. We now put him in the crib with 3 or 4 binkys. If he pitches them all out, well, that’s his problem not ours.
For me, it was quite a moment to recognize that my 7 month old son was manipulating me. Me! I’M THE MOMMY!
