Jack had his four month check up on Friday. Four months? Can you imagine!
He is doing very, very well. He is on the growth charts for his actual age, weighing in at a whopping 12 pounds 4 ounces and 24 inches long. For perspective, he’s 10 pounds 1 ounce heavier than when he was born and 13 1/2 inches longer than his birth length.
Developmentally he’s somewhere between his adjusted and actual age, showing some very advanced milestones including: holding his head up (after much crying), batting at toys with an open hand and clearly differentiating both his parents from other people in the room.
Other than being weighed and having a long conversation with the pediatrician about a certain someones very crappy sleep habits, Jack also received 4 shots at his 4 month check up. This was greeted with the dreaded “silent scream” and then about 48 hours of non-silent screams. But? The good news? No pertussis for Jack…
