After weeks of sitting on the couch with Jack lying on top of me, feeling my brain rot as I became obsessed with Little People Big World; I decided a change was necessary.
Mabel’s Momma swears by these slings; I purchased a fabulous green paisley version. The first three times I put Jack in the sling, he absolutely HATED it. It may have been the color, or it may have been that he is really like his dad…a man who can not abide change. I persisted and the fifth time, Jack settled right in, looked around for a moment and then nodded off.
Victory! I can do stuff around the house, have a cup of much needed coffee, go online. BUT? When I stop moving, Jack wakes up.
And lo, the child rests. But the mom? Still not so much.
Have you tried the Benadryl yet? I swear, it turned my life around.
Wait- didn’t you stop breastfeeding? Woman, get yourself a sleeping pill and get some rest!
